It is with profound sadness and a very heavy heart that we record the passing of Alan Todd, our friend and senior consultant to Tim Davis Design Inc. Passionate designer, advocate forthe environment, mentor and friend, Alan was all of these things and more. As Chief of Design at the National Gallery of Canada Alan entrusted us with significant projects in the early years of our practice and we will remain forever indebted to him for this. After retirement from the gallery Alan continued his tireless pursuit of design excellence and acted as a consultant to our practice. His commitment to high standards of design and his nurturing of younger designers has benefited us all but it is Alan’s generosity of spirit, sense of humour and tireless zest for life which we will most remember him for.Read more
